Proposed Activity

Our partner, Association for Cultural and Educational Development YOUTH ON BOARD, hosted the second activity of our project in Skopje, North Macedonia, for six days, including travel days in May 2024. The hosting partner in this activity selected five unemployed women participants with fewer opportunities to face socio-economic difficulties or any other potential source of discrimination in North Macedonia. Kastamonu University and Kastamonu Sarı Konak Women Initiative Production and Business Cooperative also selected five unemployed and disadvantaged women participants. SGGW selected five unemployed and disadvantaged women participants from Poland. 15 women participants gathered together in Shtip/Skopje for this activity in North Macedonia. The selected women learned about the ecological approach, the importance of environmental consciousness and sustainability, then practice ECO-PRINT. Furthermore, all participants traveled to North Macedonia engaged in intercultural interactions among the partner countries.

The expected results of the activity were to;

  • certify the compulsory domestic work done by unemployed and disadvantaged women, to turn this disadvantaged situation into an advantage for them.
  • contribute to increasing the employment of disadvantaged women through education.
  • empower women in careers, entrepreneurship, digital skills, and financial literacy through education and ensure their participation in social and economic life.
  • create a strong social education network for women.
  • encourage women to develop themselves by providing professional and personal development training
